I went to different churches in Southeast Portland, Northeast Portland and Gresham in Oregon to get the schedule of Masses. Then I found out that Catholic Churches nearby are not in Portland like St. Anthony's in Tigard, Christ the King in Milwaukie, and St. Joseph's in Vancouver, Washington. That's when I looked for a map in Portland, Oregon. The one I had was Thomas Guide, 1993 Edition. The year was 1996 then.
My car had no GPS until 2017. I didn't know which churches to include. St. Paul's in Silverton is too far away from Portland. But I included every Catholic Church whose map was in 1993 Thomas Guide. St. Mary's in Ridgefeld, Washington; St. Joseph's in Yacolt, Washington and St. John in the Woods in Welches are too far from Portland. But they are in 1993 Thomas Guide, Portland Metro Area. It was the first time I've heard of them. I've been to all Catholic and Mission churches before Archbishops Levada and Vlazny did. They were archbshops then I think. I think Google maps were not yet created. Mapquest was, I think. Digital Cameras were new and expensive. I used Pentax portable digital camera, Sony Mavica and later on cellphone cameras.
Most of the churches have bulletins online now. Some bulletins are not accessible to foreign countries or regions. Like St. Anthony's in Forest Grove;, Our Lady of Lourdes in Vancouver, Washington;, St. Matthew's in Hillsboro, and Mary's Cathedral in Portland. Our Lady of Fatima is not recognized by the Archdiocese. Some Catholic Churches are in the same bulletin but are not in 1993 Thomas Guide. Aumsville, Grand Ronde, Lafayette, Dundee, Carlton and Sheridan are not too far away but I don't know if they have Catholic Churches. St. James of McMinnville include some of them in their bulletin.
St. Rita in NE Portland is not included. St. Francis of SE portland website is powered by Jesus Christ. Really? Mission of the Atonement is for Lutherans and Catholics and LGBTQ.
I don't know if I will continue working on this after Christmas 2019 because I'm in the Philippines, my home country. I had my second stroke in May, 2019. Only very few appreciate what I'm doing.
